Ingredients Amount
water 1 cup
stick butter 6 tablespoons
sugar 1 tablespoon
salt 1/8 teaspoon
flour 1 cup
eggs 1 cup
vegetable oil
powdered sugar

Step 1: Boil water then add butter, sugar, and salt into a saucepan

Step 2: Put flour in until the dough becomes a ball

Step 3: Place the mixture into a bowl of a standing mixer and cool it for 3-4 minutes

Step 4: Using the lowest speed of the mixer, add eggs making sure the first egg is completely mixed in before continuing

Step 5: After all the eggs are mixed in and the mixture is smooth, place the dough into a piping bag fitted with a number 12 tip

Step 6: Heat about 1.5 inches of oil into a heavy pan

Step 7: Pipe the dough into the oil and make it into a free-form lattice pattern and cook until it is brown, only flipping it once

Step 8: Remove the oil from teh cake by draining it using paper towels and add decoration with powdered sugar
